IEEE International Symposium on Electrets (ISE)
International Symposium on Electrets is a research-oriented conference on electret materials held every two years at various cities around the world. Topics of interest include: Charge injection, transport & trapping; Thermally stimulated current & dielectric relaxation; Nanoscale measurements of electrostatic phenomena; Ferroelectric, piezoelectric & pyroelectric phenomena; Ferro- and piezoelectrets; Photoelectrets; Electrostatic & dielectric phenomena in life science: Bioelectrets; Non-linear electrical & optical effects; Applications of thin film ferroelectrics; Electrets in organic electronics; Electro-electrets: Soft actuators & sensors.
IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS)
The objectives of the Society are technical, scientific, literary, and educational. DEIS strives for the advancement of the theory and practice of electrical and electronics engineering and the related arts and sciences, in consonance with the Constitution and Bylaws of the IEEE.
The Society’s interests lie in materials, measurements, numerical modelling, components, applications and systems pertinent to dielectrics and electrical insulation. These include solids, liquids and gases; small-scale systems such as nano-dielectrics and bio-dielectrics; high-voltage and high-field phenomena; and large-scale systems such as high-power insulation applied to electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. The Society supports the basic science of dielectrics and electrical insulation through practical applications and the development of relevant standards.
DEIS promotes the close cooperation and exchange of technical information among its members and to this end holds meetings for the presentation of papers and their discussion. Through committees DEIS stimulates research, develops appropriate studies and standards, and sponsor periodic and special publications in the field of dielectrics and electrical insulation.
The Bernhard Gross Memorial Lecture
The lecture will be presented by a person who,in the opinion of the Selection Committee, has established an internationalreputation for sustained high-quality research work in the ISE research field.
The Dilip Das-Gupta Memorial Award
The award will be given for the best oral orposter presentation by a young scientist or engineer during the Symposium. Itwill regularly recognize and reward high-quality research in the ISE researchfield by a scientist or engineer in the early stages of her/his researchcareer.
